As Q1 2025 wraps up, here’s a comprehensive recap of everything we’ve built, shipped, and grown at GPUNet—from the core protocol to the community layer.

I. Dev Updates Q1 2025 Recap

GPUnet engineering and protocol development saw major momentum this quarter across GANChain, Subnets, Barrel NFTs, AI agents, and the public dApp.

GANChain

Nova Upgrade Initiated with enhanced block reward and tokenomics design.
Maintained chain security over max speed during 1s block stress testing.
PoW + PoS reward system implemented:
- 50% to Kings & Providers (based on compute usage)
- 50% to Queens & Validators (based on $GPU staked)
On-chain voting logic launched for Queens with daily refresh and UX improvements.
GANChain v1.2 stable release deployed with upgraded validator system. Live Stats (as of Q1 end):

Subnets Highlights

Backend, frontend, and smart contract logic completed.
Invite-only beta for Subnets launched in March with 50 users.
Created 5 no-code templates:
- AI Twitter Bot
- Telegram Utility Bot

- Compute Aggregator
Integrated milestones, staking logic, custom page editor, and voting tools.

Magic Eden listing and major swap features enabled.
New quests reward holders via token.gpu.net.

DApp Infrastructure

Full migration of dashboard to tokenized public dApp.
Provider marketplace, account portal, and rental interface live.
Auth system rebuilt (removed Authoriser dependency).
GraphQL replaced with optimized REST APIs.
Real-time GPU listings and compute credit usage integrated.

AI & Inference Work

MIG clusters set up for instance splitting.
Improved LLM inference speed by 10%.
Enabled KV cache offloading and quantization tests.
MLPerf benchmarking run on provider clusters.

Questboard (token.gpu.net)

GPUnet’s largest public campaign, launched in late Q1.
GXP system introduced to gamify social, dev, and onchain actions.

II. Datacenter Expansion: Global Scaling of Compute Infrastructure

1. India | Bangalore Facility (New 2025 Update)

GPUNet acquired a 5MW facility in Bangalore, India. This site will host NVIDIA H200 GPUs to power high-performance compute for AI and blockchain workloads.

2. Hong Kong | 4090 GPU Deployment (Q1 2025)

GPUNet is expanding its infrastructure in Hong Kong with a $3M investment in NVIDIA 4090s, enabling additional compute supply for low-latency users in Asia.

3. Vietnam | Strategic Colocation Talks (Ongoing)

GPUNet is in active discussions with Viettel (Vietnam’s largest telco) and Techcom Bank for potential colocation and infrastructure partnerships in Vietnam.

4. UAE | Partnership with G42 (Q1 2025)

GPUNet has partnered with G42, a leading AI and cloud infrastructure provider in the UAE, to manage data center operations and support regional GPU deployment.

5. Germany | Partnership with Northern Data (Q4 2024)

A strategic tie-up with Northern Data (backed by Tether) gives GPUNet access to over 25,000 GPUs across high-density facilities in Europe.

6. Enterprise Engagements (Ongoing)

GPUNet continues collaboration and infra negotiations with:

Yotta Infrastructure (India’s largest datacenter)
NTT Data (global IT infrastructure provider)
Sharad Sanghi, former CEO of NTT India, now supporting growth and partnerships

7. CDAC (India) Collaboration (2023)

Partnered with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), a leading Indian supercomputing institution, to explore decentralized compute applications.

8. NVIDIA (Since 2022)

Officially partnered with NVIDIA since 2022 to deploy and leverage their high-performance GPUs across GPUNet’s ecosystem.

9. Upcoming Global Expansions (Planned for 2025)
